This is a character name generator for short stories, romances and role-playing games.
Its main goal is to return "real" fake names, generated according to each nationality own naming way.
For example, Portuguese names normally follow the «first» «middle» «mother» «father» pattern, while German names only have «first» and «father» names.
If the character is Portuguese, just select «Portuguese» in «First Name» and leave all other items as «-- Default --».
Other names, including «middle» «mother» and «father» names, will follow the value selected for the first name.
If the character is Portuguese, but is son of a Japanese mother with a German father, select «Portuguese» in «First Name», «Japanese» in «Mother Name» and «German» in «father Name».
The «gender» allows you to choose «male» or «female» names.
Depending on the name generator, it may affect «middle» «mother» and «father» names as well.
The «How Many» item sets -- Guess what! -- how many names will be generated.
Its maximum is 100 names.
The «Type» item sets if all names from the database should be used, or just the most common contemporary names.
Not all generator will consider this option.
The «First Name» sets the generator that should be used to generate the character's first name.
The «Middle Name» sets the generator that should be used to generate the character`s middle name.
Please be aware that not all generators have middle names.
The «Mother Name» sets the generator that should be used to generate the character`s mother name.
Please be aware that not all generators have mother names while others might have more than one.
The «Parent Name» sets the generator that should be used to generate the character`s parent name.
Please be aware that some generators others might have more than one father names.
